Ever thought of riding fast on a bike just for the heck of speeding down a road to nowhere? Of course, this thought has probably crossed your mind so many times. Riding the road off to nowhere? What an Easy Rider adventure!
But depends on the bike, right? How it looks and how fast it can take you? Well, super pocket bikes may be just your thing. Super pocket bikes are small and light and most definitely fast, faster than you might expect from a 47cc engine.
Nowadays, fast mini pocket bikes retail for under five hundred dollars. Not a thousand dollars but five hundred. They may not be Ducatis dominating the speed channel but make no mistake these super pocket rockets will be getting more coverage soon once riders start to get them into competition.
The pocket bike comes in either 2-stroke gas-oil engines or 4-stroke gasoline fueled engines. Each also has unique designs and come with different sets of decals so that not two machines look the same even if you buy the same model and color.
These machines, however, may not be legal in some state or country so check your local and state laws before shelling out hard cold cash for one of these tempting pocket bikes.
But before you rush out and buy one of these sweeties, there are several important factors that should be considered first. The most important consideration is that since super pocket bikes are not legal road vehicles, they should only be used on private race tracks and not on public roads.
Another thing, super pocket rockets can burn rubber anywhere between forty and fifty miles an hour which means they are not safe toys to play with. So any parent thinking to buy one for his child should better rethink his decision.
These mean road runners are not the kind of miniature mini-bike that any four-year old can ride around the house. Mini bikes are designed to move at an extremely high speed period.
Another thing to consider is that super mini bikes are very dangerous, especially when operated without proper protective equipment. Imagine riding hell for leather on these fast machines at forty miles and hour and you lose control of the bike and fall off. Unfortunately for you, you’re not wearing a helmet or padding. You may end up with not just broken bones.
But when used responsibly, away from the public roadways and with proper safety precautions in place, pocket bikes can be as fun as any other racing vehicle. Super pocket bikes can be a real thrill of a ride only if you play it safe, race it off the public roads, and by wearing proper safety equipment.
